@bestamerica sooo what? LR has done a better job!

Land Rover:
-Environmentally friendly car. (All parts are reused, and even broken!)
-Sustainable. (80% of all Land Rover as building block is still in use)
-Values ??most famous off-road car.
Today, Land Rover turns 65. I think that should be celebrated!
please send forward this to other Land Rover movies!

@warrensavage – Eitherway, they still are great.

By warrensavage on December 4th, 2011 at 12:17 pm

@Billyking1313 I think they are owned by TATA indian car company but still made in UK

By Billyking1313 on December 4th, 2011 at 12:51 pm

@warrensavage Am I correct thinking that the Landie is now made in India!

DEFENDER

By pastorniels on December 4th, 2011 at 3:45 pm

Well, seems to me evolution came to a halt in 1985 when the last leafsprung series Land Rover left Solihull. Everything since has been a poor plastic version of the best 4×4 by far. Some models worse than others. Just took my 1965 IIA SWB out for a spin in the woods. Still among the best in the terrain. But of course, i wasn’t able to hear the stereo, if i had one. :)

just beautifull

@thebibleisfiction No, it wasn’t. It just needed to be done properly. Tell toyota the RAV4 was a terrible idea. Same thing.

i have a 1962 series 2a and it is still going fine

By shifttradition on December 4th, 2011 at 5:23 pm

sux they now are owned by TATA an indian car company that makes nothing but crappy cars and buses.

By thebibleisfiction on December 4th, 2011 at 5:30 pm

the land rover freelander was a terrible idea

Currently have a 1977 109 diesel hardtop. Still plodding on admirably.

By leonardomoses on December 4th, 2011 at 7:20 pm

land rover defender diesel models are tuned to be able to run on very low grade fuel thats high in sulfur (what you will find in 3rd world countries), there is only a handful of vehicles that come from the factory that can do this. jeeps are not one of them!

shame they no longer sell the defender in the USA, I have always wanted one. Now I have a F150 2007 Lariat truck, very cool but, but a defender is just so cool.

This is a true “World Car.” If the world were forced to rely on only one vehicle, I’d pick the Land Rover Defender series. Nothing else will work as well in absolutely all conditions including city driving and military applications.

land rovers are just exellence we have a 21 year old 110 and it has done over 150,000 miles and it is still perfect.

The Best4x4xFar………
